Poetry: The Disappearance

Another year,Another week disappears.Faster and faster into the pastWeeks spin.A moment only...days last.I struggle to keep up.Yet, always, always,And with greater frequencyTime wins. The QuestionWe’re only given so much time here.Do I use mine for good,And to help others know Him?My son, do not forget my law, But let your heart keep my commands; For length of days and long life And peace they will add to you. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord and depart from evil. It will be health to your flesh, And strength to your bones. —Proverbs 3:1,2, 5-8 NKJVBy Carolyn R ScheidiesFind more like this in Journey of Faith
