Poetry. Like Daniel

Daniel in the lion's den,From faith turned not away,Believing in God's loving kindness,And the lions' mouths were stayed.Faithful also Daniel's friends,Who stood firm against the king,No idol would they worship,Though it meant losing life and limb and everything. But from the fiery furnace,God protected the three young men,And the king who witnessed God's power,Worshiped Him there and then. When their faith was tested,These men proved wholly true,Lord, when comes the choice, help meLike these, stand firm for You.Lord, forgive me for those times I do not stand up for what I know is right. Give me the courage to say NO to sin, and YES to You. Amen.(A rhyme to read with your children.)Trust in the Lord with all your heart;and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him,and he shall direct your paths.
