Romans 12:1-2 MKJV I beseech you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, pleasing to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, in order to prove by you what is that good and pleasing and perfect will of God.
It is easy in our culture to rationalize what we read, view, hear as not so bad. But how many times do we judge a book/movie/TV show/game/activity not by something worse, but by God's standards. Do we even know what His values are as set down in His Word? Have we taken someone else's word above God's for what those principles are? God wants a direct relationship with you and me. He wants us to follow Him, not just some church, tradition or leader.
We know Him by communicating through prayer and the study of His Word---through asking for His guidance, and following through.
Am I guarding my heart and mind by living God's principles--being careful what I see, hear and do?
Proverbs 1:7 MKJV The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge; but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
