I Corinthians 13:1-2 GW I may speak in the languages of humans and of angels. But if I don't have love, I am a loud gong or a clashing cymbal. I may have the gift to speak what God has revealed, and I may understand all mysteries and have all knowledge. I may even have enough faith to move mountains. But if I don't have love, I am nothing.
Yes, many of us are unhappy with the attempt to take over and remake the government into something rather horrifying--a government that controls business and dictates every aspect of our lives.
But that never justfies hate or threats. that's not to say we shouldn't stand up for truth and freedom, we certainly should. But truth and love are connected for Jesus IS love. Jesus IS truth.
Stand up. Stand up firmly, but knowing Jesus loves those on both sides of any issue.
Instead of hate, begin with prayer. Stay in prayer, praying God will keep your heart pure and will reach the heart of those for whom we pray.
We can make a difference by starting our "stand" on our knees.
V. 5-6 GW It isn't rude. It doesn't think about itself. It isn't irritable. It doesn't keep track of wrongs. It isn't happy when injustice is done, but it is happy with the truth.
