Justice found only in the righteous judge--God
Psalm 9:8-9 GW He alone judges the world with righteousness. He judges its people fairly. The LORD is a stronghold for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble.

Even many Christians believe the best court/government system is one without prior biases or assumptions. But fairness and justice have to have a base, a foundation. Since God is righteous, justice and mercy, only a court/government system based on Judeo-Christian principles has any hope of truly succeeding in being fair and just.

The American system did succeed, until it began to be dismantled by those seeking to rid America of its spiritual foundation. With the loss of that foundation goes any real hope of either justice or mercy as judges rely on their own biases and governmental power brokers rather than God's laws or the constitution, built on God's laws, to decide cases. Such a situation leads to dictatorship not justice, not mercy and certainly not freedon.

Help me, Jesus, recognize justice and my freedom is in You alone. Amen.
